An arrest has been made in connection to a theft in Chatham.
The accused allegedly hid a portable Bluetooth speaker in his pants at Absolute Sound on Thames Street yesterday afternoon before leaving the store.
Police were called, and the suspect was located on King Street, but while he was being taken into custody, authorities say the man smashed the speaker on the pavement.
The 35-year-old is charged with theft, possession of stolen property, and mischief.
