A Chatham man was arrested for assault with a weapon and police say that weapon was a dirty diaper.
CK police responded to a call Friday after a verbal argument turned physical.
According to police a man and woman were arguing over ongoing issues within the home when he allegedly pushed the woman, struck the child with his hand, and then pushed a dirty diaper in the child’s face.
The woman got to a phone and called police.
He was taken into custody and charged with 2 counts of assault and one count of assault with a weapon.
He was held pending a bail hearing.
The Children’s Aid Society has been called in.
