A local man is facing impaired driving charges after his vehicle ended up in a field north of Tilbury.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a section of Tecumseh Line at around 11 p.m. on Friday after a vehicle left the road and entered a nearby field.
Officers arrived and arrested the driver, believing he was under the influence of alcohol. The driver failed a roadside breath test and was taken to police headquarters for further testing.
As a result, a 21-year-old Tilbury man is now charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. He was later released from custody with an August court date.
