
A man initially charged with sexually assaulting a minor in Chatham-Kent is now facing additional charges in Windsor.
The Windsor Police Service said a 56-year-old man was arrested by the Chatham-Kent Police Service on September 13 and charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching involving a child victim.
Following an investigation, officers learned that further incidents had occurred in Windsor involving the same suspect and victim.
According to police, the accused first met the victim outside a convenience store in Windsor, where he allegedly offered a ride home in exchange for sex. Additional offences are believed to have taken place between July 1 and September 13. On one occasion, the suspect is also accused of striking the victim when they refused sex.
The 56-year-old was arrested on Assumption Street in Windsor on December 20. He now faces additional charges of sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, and assault.
