A Wallaceburg man has been arrested after he was allegedly found passed out in his vehicle with the doors open.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to conduct a well-being check at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, after a man was seen slumped over in a vehicle on Wellington Street in Wallaceburg.
Officers arrived and found the man asleep in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. Believing he had been drinking and driving, the man was arrested and taken to police headquarters for breath tests.
His vehicle was also towed from the scene.
As a result, a 29-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. He will answer the charge in court later this month.
