A road rage incident in Chatham between two drivers turned ugly over the weekend.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a dispute between the two drivers escalated when one of them tried to follow the other to a residence on Park Street, shortly before 5 p.m. on Friday.
When the victim, a 27-year-old Chatham, approached the other vehicle, he was sprayed in the face with what is believed to have been bear spray. The man retreated to his vehicle and incident was reported to police.
The man also received medical attention following the assault.
Authorities later located and arrested a 19-year-old Chatham woman. She was charged with assault with a weapon and was released from custody with a future court date.
