
Charges have been laid after a man used a piece of kitchenware as a weapon in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a disturbance in the lobby of an apartment building on Merritt Avenue at around 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
Authorities arrived to find that two men had been involved in an altercation when one of them struck the other multiple times on the head with a glass casserole dish.
The 30-year-old victim suffered injuries but declined medical treatment from EMS.
A 40-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested at the scene and charged with one count of assault with a weapon. He will answer the charge at a later date.
