A suspicious person complaint in Chatham Township has led to the arrest of a Toronto man.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a homeowner on Longwoods Road called police about a man who was sitting outside of the residence at the mailbox. The man was told to leave by the homeowner but he refused to move.

When officers arrived, they learned the man was bound by a release order to remain in the City of Toronto.  He was also wanted by the Toronto Police Service on an outstanding warrant.

The 39-year-old Toronto man was arrested and taken to police headquarters before being handed over to Toronto police.
