Officers were called to the Wellington Street area around 7 o’clock Tuesday evening by a pedestrian, who told police they saw a man with what they believed to be a firearm.

The accused was found and arrested.

The 41-year-old has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, however Chatham-Kent Police say there was not an immediate threat to public safety.
