Maple Leaf Cemetery Bridges May Get a Second Chance

councildeskThe two bridges in Chatham’s Maple Leaf Cemetery may be getting an upgrade.

Rather than remove or replace the bridges, another option to fix the bridges and convert them to pedestrian bridges is on the table.

Replacing them would cost more than a million dollars each, but preserving and turning them into pedestrian bridges is estimated to cost about 150-thousand dollars per bridge.

Chatham-Kent Council will discuss these options tonight.
