More than 600 people enjoyed a pancake breakfast, a bush tour and demonstrations at the third annual Shrewsbury Maple Syrup Festival.
Wallaceburg resident Denise Shephard made the trip this year and was glad she did.
“Pancakes from heaven, maple syrup from heaven, it was really good,” says Shephard. “I want to see the bush too, good chance to see Sinclair’s Bush.”
Giffin’s supplied the syrup and hosted the sugar shack demonstrations. The syrup run was later this year, requiring organizers to push the event back two weeks from its normal date.
