Residents in Chatham-Kent are being encouraged to take part in a Canada-wide event this weekend that will help to make local neighbourhoods more accessible and inclusive.

The Chatham-Kent Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) will be participating in MapMission 2024 on Sunday beginning at 11 a.m.

The goal of the event is to map, review, and rank the accessibility of businesses and public spaces in communities across the country, in an effort to highlight both the successes and barriers that currently exist for people living with disabilities.

All are welcome to take part, with the event kicking off locally at Turns and Tales in Chatham. Those participating will need to download the AccessNow app.
