A pair of events are being held this week to mark International Overdose Awareness Day.
Reach Out Chatham-Kent, or ROCK, will be hosing events at its drop-in centres in Chatham and Wallaceburg to remember without stigma those who have been lost and acknowledge the grief of family and friends left behind.
The Chatham event runs from 3-6pm the afternoon of Wednesday, August 26 at 39 Richmond Street, while the Wallaceburg event takes place Thursday at 233 Nelson Street from 4-7pm, both featuring a memorial, along with food, music, and art projects.
Both events, in collaboration with the Chatham-Kent Drug Strategy and Chatham-Kent Public Health, are free of charge and open to everyone.
