A local hockey club is doing its part to fight breast cancer.
The Chatham Maroons are holding their annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night this coming Sunday at Memorial Arena.
The team will don special pink jerseys for the occasion as a tribute to survivors. Each jersey will be autographed by the player wearing it and auction off to support the Canadian Cancer Society and the Breast Buddies dragon boat team.
Last year’s event raised over $3000. Since 2013, the Chatham Maroons have helped raise $23,335 to fight breast cancer.
