Maroons Go Pink To Fight Breast Cancer

The fight against breast cancer hit the ice in Chatham this past weekend.

Sunday night, the Chatham Maroons held their annual Breast Cancer Awareness event. The GOJHL hockey team donned pink jerseys for the occasion, which were auctioned off.

A number of other items were also sold, raising just over $3000 to be shared by the Breast Buddies cancer survivor dragon boat team and the Canadian Cancer Society.

Since 2013, the Chatham Maroons have helped raise $23,335 to fight breast cancer.
