Maroons Set to Celebrate Sutherland Cup Championship

The Chatham Maroons will be celebrating their Sutherland Cup championship next month.

A parade will begin starting at 2 o’clock on Sunday, June 8, making its way from the corner of Elm and Queen, south on Queen, west on Tweedsmuir Avenue to Memorial Arena for a rally.

The Maroons won their second GOJHL title earlier this month, beating St Catherines in six games.

Team officials say the June 8th celebration will feature both the Sutherland Cup and Western Conference Trophy, as well as player and coach interviews and remarks from Chatham-Kent Mayor Darrin Canniff.
