It’s been one week since Chatham-Kent’s mass vaccination clinic opened its doors, and business has been booming.

Since last Tuesday, roughly 3600 doses of COVID vaccine have been administered to staff and essential caregivers of long-term care and retirement homes, highest and very high priority health care workers and residents 80 years and above.

Over 2000 doses were doled out Saturday and Sunday alone.

Chatham-Kent’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. David Colby says he’s thrilled with how the rollout has developed.

“This weekend went really well as we increased our efficiencies in delivering vaccinations to such a large number of people and I’m just so proud of everyone’s contributions in pulling all this off.”

Bookings continue to be accepted at the call centre phone line – 519-351-1010, from 9:30 to 4pm each day.
