Nearly $400,000 in illicit drugs have been taken off the streets after multiple police raids in Leamington.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers executed two search warrants at a pair of residences on Elliott Street and Talbot Street East on Tuesday at around 4:30 a.m. Two additional search warrants were also executed on vehicles.
During their search, authorities seized significant quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and Xanax with an estimated street value of over $365,000.
As a result, a 41-year-old Leamington man has been charged with seven counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of proceeds of crime.
He was remanded into custody following a bail hearing with another court scheduled for next week.
