As many as 2000 people are expected in Chatham-Kent over the next two days for a massive public works trade show.
The Bradley Centre will be packed today and tomorrow for the 34th annual Association of Ontario Roads Supervisors convention, featuring everything from remote controlled lawn mowers to huge snow plows.
The event isn’t just for those in the trades, Chatham-Kent’s Municipal Roads Supervisor Glenn Harding says it’s open to the public as well.
“Any local contractor companies, big or small, they’re looking for those kinds of equipment or tools, car dealerships, garages, there’s a little something for everybody, even the homeowner,” Harding says.
Harding says it’s also a chance for area residents to learn more about what it takes to keep the roads safe.
Admission to the family-friendly event is free and runs from 8am-3pm each day.
