The May Court Club of Chatham has donated $10,000.00 to Outreach for Hunger in Chatham.
Kris Stevens, President of the May Court Club of Chatham, says the donation will serve to help combat hunger in the Chatham-Kent community.
“The May Court club has for a number of years provided an emergency lunch box programme for participating Chatham-Kent schools and also has been one of the organizations involved in the Queen Elizabeth II breakfast programme. Since all our schools are now closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the May Court members decided to continue our commitment to the local community by supporting the vital work done through Outreach for Hunger.”
The May Court Club of Chatham is a service organization that has been dedicated to addressing needs in the community, primarily those of women and children, through volunteerism and fundraising.
It is part of the Association of May Court Clubs of Canada, which is one of Canada’s oldest service organizations and is now comprised of 9 clubs and nearly 1,500 volunteers across Ontario.
