Mayor Darrin Canniff says more people working from home could benefit Chatham-Kent in the long run.
“ The working from home trend will certainly be a major benefit to Chatham-Kent. We have already seen a lot of interest coming from the GTA . If someone can work for a firm in Toronto, and not have to pay the million dollar price for a home, and come here and get twice the home for half the price, we expect a lot more people coming here. That’s something we look forward to taking advantage of here in Chatham-Kent”.
Another positive – Economic Recovery Task Force co-chair Mike Grail says the pandemic has given residents and businesses alike an opportunity to improve and therefore be better prepared for a future crisis.
