More local kids will be able to take part in recreational activities thanks to yesterday’s annual Mayor’s Classic golf tournament.
Mayor Randy Hope says it’s a great event in support of a good cause.
“Raising money for the children throughout Chatham-Kent,” Hope says, “providing inexpensive programming so everybody has a chance to be physically active and participate throughout the communities that Chatham-Kent serves.”
While the final tally from yesterday’s tournament isn’t in quite yet, Hope says traditionally the event, now into its 9th year, raises over $20,000.
