Social distancing and self-isolation continues to be the message from local municipal and medical officials.
Mayor Darrin Canniff was joined by Dr. David Colby, Chatham-Kent’s Medical Officer of Health, Municipality CAO Don Shropshire and Health Alliance President and CEO Lori Marshall on Tuesday afternoon for a live video chat, answering questions from concerned C-K residents.
The Mayor says he continues to self-isolate and “self-regulate” himself, following his family’s recent trip to Florida. Canniff stayed home while his wife and children made the trip two days prior to travel restrictions being announced.
Canniff says his children are living in the basement while his wife Christine and he are living in separate rooms.
Attending current doctor’s and hospital appointments was one of the concerns addressed in the video. Local officials say to assume your appointment is happening unless you are otherwise contacted for cancellation.
