It’s a true Wallaceburg success story.
Stuart McFadden has been named the municipality’s Director of Economic Development after two years of holding the title on an interim basis.
“It means an awful lot – it was a very competitive process. I appreciated that, it means a lot to be chosen and to have the faith of the people I report to that think I’ll do a great job and my commitment is to them, and I’m not going to let them down,” says McFadden.
McFadden says today’s announcement is doubly special, coming at the same time as Rulmeca’s expansion.
He says the company was actually his first project working with the Wallaceburg Community Task Force back in 2007.
“I think we started working with them in late 2007 and we convinced them Wallace was the place to be in 2010, and today they’re expanding, so it’s very symbolic and a special moment,” says McFadden.
