Good news for a local woman battling leukemia. 
Jocelyn McGlynn found out earlier this month she was in remission, and yesterday was able to undergo a stem cell transplant at a cancer care centre in New York.
In a social media post, the 21-year-old thanked all of her supporters and says she’s ready to take on each day, celebrating what she calls her “new birthday.”
The community has rallied around McGlynn over the past several months, with hundreds of people turning out for blood donor and swab clinics in Chatham, Windsor, and London.
