Another current councillor has thrown his hat in the ring for next fall’s municipal election.
As he puts the wraps on his first term on council, Brock McGregor has filed nomination papers to run for re-election in Ward Six in October.
Meantime a long-standing councillor has decided to step back from municipal politics. Bob Myers announced at last night’s council meeting he will not be running in the fall due to health issues.
First elected to Chatham-Kent Council in 2010, Myers also served the former City of Chatham council from 1982 to 1985.
Chatham-Kent residents head to the polls on October 22nd.
The deadline for nominations is July 27th.
