Chatham-Kent residents showed their generosity once again with the annual McHappy Day fundraiser at McDonalds.
In all, $33491.84 was raised in Chatham and Wallaceburg this past Wednesday, exceeding last year’s total of $32,224.65.
A portion of the cost of all menu items sold at McDonalds that day are being donated to support families with seriously ill children while they’re in hospital, giving them a place to stay for just $12 a night.
Proceeds support three core programs in the region – Ronald McDonald Houses in London and Windsor, and the Ronald McDonald Family Room in London.
