A local politician is awaiting results of COVID-19 testing.
Lambton Kent Middlesex MPP and Ontario’s Minister of Labour, Training and Skills Development, Monte McNaughton says he and his family are isolating themselves after news one of federal Conservative leader Erin O’Toole’s staffers had tested positive.
McNaughton and O’Toole had dinner together in Toronto last week, and McNaughton says that while the two wore masks the majority of the time, they posed for a picture outdoors without masks and took off their masks after sitting down to eat.
McNaughton says he and his family have now been tested as a precaution and will remain in isolation until the results are in.
O’Toole and his family have also been tested and are awaiting results.
