Hydro, water wells, and poverty are just some of the issues facing residents around Chatham-Kent and Lambton County.

MPP Monte McNaughton held a round-table discussion on poverty in Wallaceburg on Tuesday.
“The provincial government has turned a blind eye, and politicians of all stripes quite frankly over the last couple of decades, to the challenges and issues people have in rural Ontario,” McNaughton says. “People are having a hard time making ends meet, whether it’s hydro bills or the lack of a well paying job, to issues like affordable housing and rural transportation.”
McNaughton also meet with local constituents at a coffee shop earlier in the day, and says he’ll be bringing their concerns back to Queens Park next week.
