
Health officials are continuing to remind those with measles symptoms to call ahead before visiting local healthcare facilities in Chatham-Kent.
Chatham-Kent Public Health has reported another possible measles exposure point in the municipality, this time at Chatham-Kent Family Health Team at 30 Chatham St. in Blenheim. Anyone who attended this location on April 16 between 1:25 p.m. and 4 p.m. may have been exposed to the virus.
Anyone who was present during this timeframe and is not up-to-date with their vaccinations is urged to call CK Public Health at 519-352-7270 ext. 5902.
Measles symptoms can include fever, runny nose, cough, drowsiness, irritability, and red eyes. A red rash appears on the face three to seven days after the start of the above symptoms.
