New Blue Party of Ontario – David Barnwell

David has been consulting clients on their telecommunications and security strategies for over 13 years. He develops designs and ensures they are equipped with an understanding of the true costs (beyond the dollars) of changes they want to make, to ensure they are fully informed.

He was born in Chatham, raised in Brampton, and now moved back to South Western Ontario, calling Ilderton home since 2018. An admirer of rural areas and tight-knit communities, he enjoys listening to friends discuss their farm operations, or what the next event in the villages and towns will be.

In 2017 when the Wynne Liberals sold 53% of Ontario’s ownership in Hydro One, David began paying attention to politics. Over the ensuing years, he began to focus on what was happening in the country and province politically and became increasingly frustrated. From poor actions on the government’s part, with hasty policy decisions, lack of a problem-solving attitude, and non-sequitur style answers to questions, it was clear by 2021 that getting personally involved in politics was the only viable option for David.

His goal is to represent the constituents of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex by listening to their concerns, giving them a voice at Queen’s Park, keeping them updated on his political activities, and ensuring they are fully informed about the true costs of new and proposed changes to existing government programs, and stopping the non-sequitur by transparently answering their questions.

Green – Wanda Dickey

Wanda Dickey is proud to represent Ontario Greens in Lambton—Kent—Middlesex, and eager to be a strong voice for those who need it at Queen’s Park.

Arriving in Ontario from Newfoundland in the 1980s, Wanda lived in Innisfil for many years before settling in her current home of Strathroy. She has seen firsthand how urban sprawl has increasingly impacted Ontario’s farming communities and knows that it is time for change.

Wanda is inspired by Mike Schreiner’s honesty, integrity, and vision for a better Ontario, including caring, connected communities and a greener future for everyone.

Wanda is excited to work with Mike and his Green team to provide a new way to govern, committed to addressing climate change, health crisis, housing affordability and the quality of life for all of Ontario.

None of the Above Direct Democratic Party – Dean Eve

PC – Monte McNaughton

Monte McNaughton is a lifelong conservative and a former small business owner from southwestern Ontario serving as Ontario’s Minister of Labour, Training and Skills Development. He is in his third term as a Member of Provincial Parliament for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.

Monte grew up working in his family’s hardware and building supply store where he learned the importance of customer-service and making a payroll. These values got him elected councillor in his hometown of Newbury at the age of 20. He was re-elected to two further terms.

Monte took the voice of Main Street to the provincial legislature in 2011. He held numerous critic positions, most notably as Critic for Economic Development where he fought against red tape and government waste.

Monte was appointed Ontario’s Minister of Infrastructure in June 2018. As Minister, he expanded natural gas and high-speed Internet to rural and northern communities.

In June 2019, Monte McNaughton was appointed Minister of Labour. He quickly established worker safety as his top priority while reducing insurance premiums and rewarding safe employers. He met with more than 100 labour leaders – and became the first conservative labour minister in a generation to march in the Labour Day Parade – in his first hundred days and continues to build on these partnerships.

His portfolio was expanded to include Training and Skills Development in October 2019. In this role, he is on a mission to spread opportunity and connect people with good jobs in their communities, particularly in the skilled trades.
Monte and his wife Kate live in Mt. Brydges, Ontario, with their daughter, Annie.
