It’s going to be a packed house at the Portuguese Canadian Social Club in Chatham with an all-candidates meet and greet ahead of next month’s municipal election.
Candidates vying for a spot on council in each of the six wards as well as the mayor’s seat have been invited to discuss issues facing rural Chatham-Kent.
Organizers say candidates will be set up by ward around the hall with staggered introductions through the evening.
The October 4th meet and greet will run from 6 until 10, and is organized by the Kent Federation of Agriculture, Grain Farmers of Ontario District 2, and the Essex-Kent chapter of the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario.
Any questions about the event can be emailed to kfa@uoguelph.ca.
