The memory of a late Wallaceburg resident is being honoured with a donation to a local homeless shelter.
A total of 70,508.60 raised during the Steve Bilodeau Golf Tournament was donated to The James Street Drop-In Centre in Wallaceburg on Friday.
More than 150 golfers took part in the tournament at Maple City Golf Club on June 23.
Bilodeau, a local business owner and life-long Wallaceburg resident, died last year at the age of 59, according to his obituary.
Before he passed away, one of Bilodeau’s final wishes was to see the homeless shelter continue to grow in the Wallaceburg community.
