Men from all walks of life donned a pair of high heels to support the Chatham-Kent Women’s Centre Tuesday.
Karen Hunter is the Executive Director of the shelter and says, despite some sore feet and a little belly aching from some the men, the 11th annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes was a great time.
“We have raised just over $10,000, we had probably 60 to 70 guys show up,” Hunter says. “A great event, lots of fun for a serious cause.
Hunter says all money raised goes towards the local programs and services at the Women’s Centre, supporting about 1000 women, children, and men in the community.
This year’s event was held at St. Clair College.
