Win tickets to Michael Schatte’s E.P. Release Concert THIS WEEK with 99.1 CKXS!

Chatham, Ontario’s Michael Schatte and His Band return to London’s Aeolian Hall on Saturday, July 28th, for the official release of his new EP, Four Songs, One Apocalypse (see below). Those of you who witnessed his last concert at Aeolian can attest to the rave reviews that followed it, as all the typical Schatte elements were there: incredible guitar playing, a rollicking setlist of original songs and classic cover material, and a band of ace musicians intent on bringing the house down.

On July 28th Michael is ramping up the entertainment value even further.  The purchase of a ticket ($20 advance, $23 at the door) entitles the ticket holder to a FREE COPY of Michael’s new EP (a $10 value), redeemable at the show. And there’s more!  The show will be filmed by three cameras in high definition and the audio recorded for a possible future live DVD/CD release. Schatte and His Band (drummer’s drummer Riley O’Connor and veteran showman Randy Cassidy on bass) invite you all to come out, make some noise, and be part of a truly memorable musical event.

“…an impressive piece of work… like T-Bone Burnett fronting a band with Richard Thompson occupying the lead guitar spot… This guy is definitely going places in the days to come. Recommended.”

“…the word ‘amazing’ comes to mind…  The crowd never knows what to expect – besides a wildly entertaining show – when going to see him.”
– Jon DuwynShattered
“…Michael Schatte’s sound falls superbly somewhere between the folk rock musings of Richard Thompson and the Canuck blues edge of Colin James… As a bonus, the artist also displays something of a literate edge to his lyrics that definitely sets him more than a few rungs above the moon/June competition. His playing throughout is at times awe-inspiring…”
