The Ministry of Environment is monitoring air quality following a massive fire at the St Clair Power Plant in Marysville, Michigan.
The blaze broke out around 6:30 Thursday night after a coal-fired generation unit caught fire.
Thick smoke drifted across the river last night, forcing the OPP to shut down St. Clair Parkway between Oil Springs Line and Stanley Line as well as Bentpath Line between 40 Highway and the St. Clair Parkway.
Crews battled the flames overnight to get the fire under control.
