A famous heritage home in Chatham is being reopened to the public.
The Milner Heritage House will reopen on July 1 for a Canada Day celebration. The local community is being invited to take a tour of the home at 59 William St. N, which has been restored to its original form from 1905.
The first 100 visitors will receive a glass of lemonade and a cookie, while period-specific games will be set up on the front lawn for the younger visitors.
The home will remain open between Wednesdays and Sundays until August 27 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is by donation.
