Lambton OPP have solved the mystery of the missing driver. 
Early Friday morning, a car crashed into a utility pole on Stanley Line near Indian Creek Road, but there was no one behind the wheel when officers arrived at the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing a man standing near the crash site, but disappeared into a rural bush lot.
Authorities eventually tracked the man down at his home.
He’s now facing charges of failing to remain at the scene of a crash and failing to report an accident, and will be in court next month.
