The pandemic has claimed more victims in Chatham-Kent’s local business sector.

After 17 years in business, Affinity Distinctive Jewellery is closing its doors.

In a statement, the owners say COVID-19 “has inflicted further challenge and complication to an already difficult traditional retail environment.”

And Bondy’s Dry Cleaners, run by Ward Six Councillor Michael Bondy, is shutting down.

The cleaners has been in the family for nearly 60 years, but reportedly suffered a 95% drop in business thanks to the pandemic.
