COVID-19 continues to spread across Chatham-Kent.

The weekly update from CK Public Health includes 88 new cases between November 13th and the 19th, raising the seven-day average to 13 high risk cases a day.

Public health officials noted that the number of active cases in the municipality is an underestimate due to restrictions on PCR testing.

Chatham-Kent’s positivity rate is at 14.9% compared to 15.8 a week ago. The provincial rate for the past week is 10.9%.

Public Health is keeping tabs on two long term care outbreaks. There have been 13 cases at Riverview Gardens in Chatham since November 10th, and 42 cases at Fairfield Park in Wallaceburg since November 14.
