More work is set to begin near the site of the August explosion in Wheatley.

In the latest update from the municipality, officials say equipment arrived on site this week as plans for re-drilling the old Tait Well move forward.

The contractor plans to renter the well, which investigators have labeled APEC 2, in the municipal parking lot to gather more information on potential source and pathways of hydrogen sulphide.

Investigators are also continuing to analyze gas and water samples taken from monitoring wells late last month.
