A windy couple of days ahead has brought another flood watch for those living along Lake Erie.

The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority warns of southwesterly winds topping 35 kilometres an hour into Wednesday afternoon, with the risk of further shoreline damage and erosion all along the shoreline, including the high bluff areas.

The forecast is calling for winds between 35 and 40 km/hr today, gusting to 60 km/hr through the day on Wednesday.

Residents living on Erie Shore Drive are warned to expect flooding, which could be severe with a prediction of gale force winds tomorrow morning and waves expected to peak in the 1.5 to 2 metre range.

The LTVCA says there’s also the risk of flooding in other south-facing communities along the lake.
