The community of Chatham is undergoing a huge residential boom, especially along Park Avenue in the south-west part of the city.
Chatham-Kent council will decide on whether to approve an official plan amendment at tonight’s online planning meeting, which would lead to the building of a subdivision of 121 new homes and 48 town-home units.
Municipal staff is recommending council approve the application by Maple City Homes to re-designate a 17.6-acre parcel of land on the north side of Park Avenue West from highway commercial to residential use.
