Dresden has experienced a residential building boom in the past few years, with the bulk of the new housing being constructed in the northeast section of the village.
A developer—a numbered Ontario company wants to add more residential development, proposing to build a 36 lot subdivision in the northwest edge of Dresden on mostly vacant farmland.
Chatham-Kent council will consider the necessary rezoning and draft plan of the development at tonight’s planning meeting.
The subdivision would be along Issac, Camden and Elizabeth Streets and would include a mix of single and semi-detached housing. The plan also proposes a brand new park.
