A couple of big investments are expected to give a boost to the local economy.
Director of Economic Development, Stuart McFadden, says Nova Chemicals’ $2-billion expansion in Corunna will have far-reaching impacts, touching virtually every sector across the region.
“This is a regional investment. Not only for Sarnia-Lambton and St. Clair Township, but it will definitely have an affect on the Chatham-Kent area. It’s a massive investment and it will have a great affect on the community”, says McFadden.
As for Friday’s announcement about the expansion of IAT Global to the Bloomfield Business Park will mean more jobs and other economic spin-offs right across Chatham-Kent.
