Another illegal mushroom shop has surfaced in Chatham-Kent, but not without catching the watchful eye of local police.
Officers with the Criminal Investigation Branch executed a search warrant at a St Clair Street business on January 15, seizing roughly $23,000 worth of psilocybin.
No arrests have been made, but Chatham-Kent Police are reminding all property owners to ensure their space is not being used for illegal activity, and that any property involved in criminal enterprises can be seized and subject to potential forfeiture. If you suspect illegal activities, report it to the police.
Authorities are also reminding all residents the possession, sale, and production of magic mushrooms, psilocybin is illegal in Canada.
