Ontario will have 15 more seats in the legislature following the next provincial election. Premier Kathleen Wynne wants the provincial riding to mirror the federal set up and says it will create better representation.

Mike Radan, the first time liberal candidate in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, agrees.

“People were allowed to make submission regarding what the proposed riding boundaries would be,” says Radan. “So I think it’s done and it goes back to parliament and Elections Canada that gets the final say.”

The new plan will see a total of 122 provincial ridings and 121 federal ridings in Ontario.
