Premier Kathleen Wynne wants more wine…in the grocery stores. The Premier announcing that there will be 70 more grocery stores that will be allowed to sell wine, that will increase to 300 locations in the future.
Wynne says one of the stipulations for the sale of wine at the new locations is that half of those retailers must only sell Ontario VQA wines, and that would be a good thing for local wineries like Early Acres Estate Winery and Alton Farms Estate Winery.
This goes along with the Premier’s gift that she gave portions of the province over Christmas when she gave the green light to selling 6 packs of beer in select grocery stores.
