A broken television has resulted in charges for a Chatham-Kent man.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a Patteson Avenue home in Chatham on January 11 at around 4:30 p.m., after an argument between a woman and her son escalated when the son damaged his mother’s television.
Following an investigation, a warrant was issued for the son’s arrest.
Police located the 30-year-old suspect in a taxicab on Wellington Street East on Thursday and took him into custody.
The accused is now charged with mischief and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
