More jobs, lowering the cost of living, and scrapping the Green Energy Act are some of goals Caroline Mulroney hopes to achieve if elected as the Ontario PC Party’s leader.
Mulroney spent the afternoon in Chatham on Saturday, speaking to a crowd of nearly 325 people.
“What I’m trying to do is talk about issues that matter to people,” Mulroney says. “We need to get a leader in place on March 10th who will allow us to turn the page.”
When it comes to local issues, Mulroney says she supports the installation of concrete median barriers on the 401, supporting seniors with the creation of 15,000 new long-term care beds in the province, and scrapping the Green Energy Act.
“Looking at all the contracts and see what we can do to get out of them so we can start lowering hydro prices and get people out of these contracts that make no sense and municipalities didn’t want.”
Conservative members have until Friday to cast an online ballot for one of the four candidates, the winner will be announced on Saturday.
